James has lived in nearly every part of Southern California. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley for Middle School & High School. After that, he was in Orange County for four years at UC Irvine (Go Anteaters!). Going more South, James' theological education was at Westminster Seminary in Escondido, Ca. (near San Diego). During this time, he was commuting up every weekend to the Inland Empire (San Bernadino Valley) for ministry. He was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in 1999 and in 2001, received a call to lead a church in St. Louis, MO. After seven years in St. Louis, God called James back to Southern California, this time to plant a church in the Santa Clarita Valley!
James is married to Sindy and has three children, Hannah, Calvin, and Timothy. His hobbies include movies, basketball, and hanging out with friends.
